Feminism: The Ugly Truth. Mike J.D. BuchananЧитать онлайн книгу.
Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance.
Robert F Kennedy 1925-68 American Democratic senator: South Africa (1966)
When the history of the war against feminism is written – and that may be many years in the future – a Scotsman, Tom Martin, will surely merit an honourable mention. By the time of writing, late January 2012, his name had become well known in anti-feminism circles. From his website Sexismbusters.org:
‘Tom Martin began studying a Masters degree at the Gender Institute of The London School of Economics (LSE) in the 2009/10 term but withdrew after only six weeks, complaining the curriculum discriminated against men.
The elite university’s own internal investigation found ‘no evidence of discrimination’, but Tom, unsatisfied with their conclusion, has filed 200 pages of evidence, in a damages claim at the Central London County Court, for ‘sex discrimination, breach of contract, misleading advertising, misrepresentation, and breach of The Gender Equality Duty Act’.
Tom says, ‘as well as sexist teaching practices, sex-discriminatory learning materials were explicitly ruled out by the university’s own regulations, yet the core texts we had to read before each class, contained lots of anti-male discrimination and bias heavily focussing on and exaggerating women’s issues, whilst blaming men, ignoring men’s issues, and even recommending such bias. There was no warning of this sexist agenda in the prospectus.’
Tom has paid for and received expert legal advice from a specialist education lawyer and a specialist education barrister, who believe his case has a very strong chance of success.
Tom, who has read the law and is representing himself in court, has set up a legal fighting fund which has received 90 donations from eight countries around the world, totalling £3,050 to date – enough to cover some expenses, court hearing fees, and a few further hours’ legal advice. A big thank you to all those who have donated so far.
In order to give this case the best possible chance of success, so Tom can receive the necessary amount of legal coaching and take the campaign to the next level in order to generate and win the pre-trial media debate as well, Tom asks people to donate what they can now. [Author’s note: there’s a facility on the website for making donations by credit card.]
He’s working 90 hours a week on this potentially game-changing lawsuit, so future generations of boys and men might automatically receive equality in their education.’
The site includes a link to an interesting video in which Tom asks LSE students whether they think discrimination against men in the curriculum is justified, as the defence have argued:

The case is attracting the attention of leading newspapers, and we must hope that all this leads to greater exposure of the true nature of the gender programmes run by feminist ‘academics’. The implications of a victory for Tom Martin in the case would be – one hopes and assumes – a requirement for a complete overhaul of such courses in the UK. Now wouldn’t that be worth celebrating? Perhaps once the anti-male elements of the courses are removed, the courses could be run over the course of a week rather than a year.
