“Where are you staying, Jack?” Maggie put her hand on her daughter’s shoulder and her knuckles went white.
“Gran’s house.”
“Then it’s not goodbye.”
“What do you mean?”
“Faith and I live next door. It’s more like, ‘Howdy, neighbor.’”
